Furniture Pricing and Purchasing
Shopping at Northwest Native Designs
When purchasing from the designer, there are many more custom options when compared to items manufactured in volume by a mass producer. At Northwest Native Designs, you can buy a copy of a previously crafted piece, or you can participate in the design process to create your own unique piece(s).

Reproductions

If you find a piece on the website that already meets your requirements, you can order it immediately through our secure shopping procedure. Your piece will be made as close as physically possible to the original, subject to the natural variations inherent in the natural materials and hand crafted manufacturing. You can also order design changes, priced separately.

Creative Originals

If you see something that you are interested in but not exactly as shown, that’s when the fun begins and we create a custom piece of furniture just for you.

Our sales department will discuss what you have in mind. Typically we'll schedule a design conference, which may involve the designer if special materials or techniques are required. The craftsmen will then confirm feasibility and provide an estimate of price.

In further conversations we will finalize details, and you may receive swatches or sketches for approval. In some cases an initial deposit will be required for the design work if it is extensive. Once the order is finalized we will send a custom invoice for your order.

Schedule

Custom upholstered furniture usually takes six to twelve weeks to complete, while all-wood furniture may be delivered sooner. Updates will be provided at key stages in the manufacturing process. Cancellations may be subject to a fee based on the stage of production and materials consumed.

Procedure

Online Purchasing with Confidence

You may have concerns about online purchasing. You should know that online furniture sales have grown rapidly since the launch of the WWW, and purchases can be made securely, successfully and with great outcomes. We strive to make the process efficient and secure. Our online presence has been defining and delivering high quality products (including over 1,500 custom furniture items) since 1996. Our transactions are handled by a third-party payment processor, Paypal, where you can use any major credit card; we never see your confidential financial information.

Whether Reproducing or Creating Anew...

The first step is to contact our staff to schedule a design consultation.

When you make your selections and submit the preliminary request for quote, our consultant will review the order and contact you regarding details, confirmation and scheduling. We will then prepare a custom invoice and send you a link to a web page on which you may confirm your order and make payment. For major pieces we may send you updates and/or images as your piece is produced.
